Last Tuesday, we welcomed a small, but brilliant group of students from International University of Monaco to campus for a three week Finance track. As part of the course, students attend world class lectures and tour the City’s financial institutions.
IUM students were introduced to guest lecturers Julien Dauchez, Managing Director and Founder of Julien & Smith and Ron Huddleston, who has two decades experience in financial services holding a range of senior advisory and management positions including Wells Fargo, Capital Markets Trading, Dresdner Bank, and Citibank.
They also had the opportunity to attend the “Future of Funds – Technology and Innovation” event on June 5th by Saxo Capital Markets and JP Funds Group. The sessions covered topics ranging from the role social media and technology are playing in disrupting and creating new opportunities for hedge funds to discussions about what the future holds for the fund investment sector.
Groupe INSEEC lecturer Dinis Guarda of Hedge Think also spoke with IUM Finance track students during the event about the massive changes the Fund Industry faces and explained how 2013 was the year that “finance woke up to media.”
This week students will have the opportunity to visit Morgan Stanley, USS Investment Management and Lyxor Asset Management. They will also have several guest lectures from members of top banking institution BNP Paribas and asset management company Ignis Asset Management.
We wish all of our visiting IUM Finance Track students a pleasant stay while in London and on campus.
