We are very proud to announce that Payfriendz has selected two of our amazing students for internships at its London head quarters
Howard Allen, Development Director and Volker Breuer, Co-founder & CEO at Payfriendz discuss why they chose students from INSEEC for internships and we also hear from our brilliant students about what they enjoy about studying abroad in London.
“Basically what we say is [that] it’s like Whatsapp for payments,” explains Breuer. “You chat with your mates, you send money, you ask for money. If you go out, you share a cab bill or dinner, drinks … birthday gifts.”
Payfriendz is a quickly growing startup which specializes in making payments truly social by allowing friends to send money from anywhere in the world in real time. As Payfriendz’s target market is the young Millennial generation, those in University or just entering the workforce, Allen and Volker decided that recruiting young interns would benefit the company and help to close its “generation gap.”
“… We’ve decided we have plenty of experience between us – but we need to recruit people. And so we should recruit people that have more affinity with the target market,” said Allen.
The students, from INSEEC Business school, have been working on computer analysis and on networking for the company.
